History

Here at PDI, we always refer to our “roots in racing.” But what does it mean exactly? We certainly aren’t whipping around the Nashville SuperSpeedway in our spare time (although some of us might like to be).

Precision.
In 1993, professional racers Ken Thwaits and Johnny Unser looked at the landscape and saw an opportunity. Precision drivers for automotive events were typically provided by racing schools. Client work was secondary for them, and it showed. PDI was founded with the realization that a deep appreciation for client and customer needs is always in demand. We have brought excellence to every automotive event and interaction since then.

Dynamic.
Our very first job was to shoot running footage of the 1994 Dodge Ram Truck at police training grounds in Olympia, Washington. The relationship expanded with a consumer ride-and-drive launch tour. Since then, PDI has grown organically into a full-service automotive marketing agency.
